ORGANIZATIONAL STRATEGY

STRATEGIC PLANNING FOR SUSTAINABILITY
Every organization needs to have a clear understanding of its mission, goals and objectives. You know what you want. But you are struggling how to get the business and operations to support your vision. A viable strategic plan that supports long-term sustainability is the most effective way to preserve the continuity and integrity of your services and programs while insuring that they are aligned with the goals of the full organization. Planning can be an arduous task and implementing the plan can be even more challenging without the proper guidance. I will work with your board, staff, and volunteers to help you devise a realistic strategic plan to create new partnerships and build new revenue streams to achieve your goals.

DEVELOPING STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS
Time and money are scarce resources in nonprofit organizations. Forming strategic alliances with other organizations can provide additional revenue, reduce costs, open up new markets for your services, and provide needed expertise. Forming the right partnerships can greatly strengthen your organization’s mission and programs. I will work with your board and executive staff to identify viable partners and assist in forming the right partnerships for your organization.

GUIDANCE FOR NONPROFIT STARTUPS
The startup of a nonprofit in the marketplace can be an overwhelming task with many steps from writing an effective mission statement to developing a business plan and holding your first board meeting. I will work with you and your initial volunteers to assist with planning the start-up phase to maximize opportunities to fulfill your mission and avoid costly mistakes early on.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

TRANSITION ASSISTANCE
Your nonprofit leader is leaving for another position. Forming a search committee, developing a job description, deciding on compensation is daunting enough. I will help you during this critical time period to keep the organization on track and make the best decisions for preparing for new executive leadership.

MANAGEMENT ADVISOR
The Executive Director is a vital center of the organization who communicates, consults and advises the organization’s volunteer leaders on key issues. The Executive Director must be a strategic thinker and leader, experienced in every aspect of managing and leading a successful non-profit organization and insures that fundamental daily operations are performed in the most efficient and effective manner possible. I will work alongside board leadership to provide assistance to the new Executive Director, sharing program and fundraising ideas.

BUILDING AND ENGAGING AUDIENCES

TARGETING NEW AUDIENCES
The most effective methods to reach new audiences are constantly growing and evolving. The internet, technology, and social media are so pervasive that we cannot remember having ever lived without them. As a nonprofit leader, how can you use the new technology to reach your target audiences? I will work with you to help meet the challenges and help monetize the opportunities to support your mission.

SPECIAL EVENT PLANNING
Part of your audience engagement strategy may be to conduct successful fundraising and cultivation events. But preparing for events can be time-consuming and even unproductive if the proper planning is not in place. As a nonprofit leader, you have more than enough on your plate. I will help you plan and execute the event to meet your financial goals.

ARTS EDUCATION ACCREDITATION AND FEDERAL STUDENT AID

Elucidating the steps to become an accredited arts organization is in itself a creative process. It can be a long, difficult and time consuming journey but I can take you through the process step by step to completion. Recognition by an accreditor approved by the U.S. Department of Education is a required step to participate in Federal Student Aid programs.

Preparing for participating in Federal Student Aid programs can also be a difficult, arcane process with myriad government regulations, policies, procedures that seem to be an insurmountable administration burden. However, I can demystify the governmental requirements, save time and money up front by avoiding costly mistakes and help establish your new Financial Aid Department to best serve your students and ensure compliance with the regulations.
